Creativehowl.com is an ongoing project of mine that I designed, manage & make content for.

Creativehowl is a site with a growing collection of guides & tools aimed to help and inspire artists, designers, illustrators, or anyone doing creative work.

In my guides, I cover topics on how to market yourself, how and where to sell your work, and other advice when working creatively. The content is basically my own research that I do as an artist, I then rewrite it into easy-to-follow guides for anyone to read and learn from.

The Project

An important aspect of the project is that all the guides are free and always will be. It should be quality free information for everyone.

This is also a site where I showcase the work of artists & designers from around the world. There are recurring artist features, art galleries, and an Instagram page devoted to featuring illustrations (@illustrationhowl)

For the design of Creativehowl I chosen a style that’s near my own creative expression and style. This let’s me have fun with the design and it feels very natural to play around with the layout.

Colorful playful pattern designs have a central role in the graphic design and I also include my own illustrations.

A big part of the Creativehowl project is the content creation. I aim to make content that’s useful, easy to understand with a minimum amount of bullshit.

The guides are usually quite comprehensive just because I try and cover every aspect of the subject matter.

Artist features & galleries

Featuring other artists is a big part of Creativehowl, one example is the Creative Inspiration gallery where I ask artists to tell a story about the inspiration behind one of their works.

In the Buyer’s guide category I feature products & clothes that you can buy directly from artists.

Another part of this project is Illustrationhowl, a Instagram page dedicated to featuring great artists on the platform.

My goal here is to feature artists & illustrators that are just starting out or have a small following. I know how hard it can be to get noticed on Instagram and hopefully I can help them a little by given them a brief spotlight.
